DIY Wedding

Okay, so I'm working at a wedding this weekend and I'm so excited to see it come together. I'm going to start off by sharing some really cute DIY wedding projects from Emmaline Bride.

First of all, this DIY mason jar centerpiece is one of my favorites. It's perfect for an outdoor wedding, or to add a whimsical touch to anyone's reception.

You'll need:

-A few clear mason jars, preferably plain or with a pretty design
-Clear decorative gems
-White floating candles
-Decorative string

Here's how:

Fill 1/4 of the mason jar with decorative gems, then fill with water. Tie the decorate ribbon in a secure bow around the top of the jar, and place the floating the candle in the water. Light and enjoy!

Another great centerpiece idea is a doily vase for floral arrangements, which adds the perfect vintage touch.

For this, you'll need:

-Fabric stiffener
-Crocheted doilies of varying sizes
-A plastic bag and smaller plastic bags (grocery bags)
-Rubber bands
-Rubber gloves
-Mason jars
-Floral decor

Here's how:

Use the fabric stiffener on the doilies as directed on instructions. Cover your mason jar with a grocery bag and secure with a rubber band. Place the mason jar upright.
Drape the doily over the mason jar and let it sit over night. In the morning it should hold the shape of the jar.
Add decorative flowers, or fill the mason jar with water, conceal it with the doily and add a flower arrangement!

These two DIY projects are easy ways to add a gorgeous centerpiece to your wedding (or a pretty accent to your home decor), even for DIY-challenged people like myself :)

Happy Weekend!
