Mani Monday: Glitter Ombre Nails

Ok, so I'm not a pro manicurist yet, but I tried the glitter ombre and I think it's pretty charming, don't you?



1. Paint a neutral base coat (I used Eternal Optimist by Essie). You can use any color as long as it compliments the glitter polish you decide to use on the tips.

2. After the base coat dries, use french nail tip strips to paint a coat of glitter on the tips (I used Gold Glitz by Milani).

3. Once dry, take off strips.

4. Dab a light glitter coat underneath the glitter tip to get the ombre effect.

5. Finish with a clear coat.

Thirsty Thursday: Birthday Cake Martini

Ingredients

1.5 ounces of vanilla vodka
1.5 ounces of cranberry juice
1/2 ounce of champagne

Directions

Rim glass with sprinkles (using a lime- or cake frosting if you want to get really festive). Combine vodka and cranberry juice in a shaker half filled with ice, shake well. Pour into martini glass and top with champagne. Drop in a cherry if desired. Enjoy!

Loving this Look: Vintage Head Scarf

- Start w/ a large, square scarf
- Fold one corner to the other to form a triangle
- Fold the corner down to about the middle, and then fold over again (but not all the way to the edge because you want it to be thicker)
- Put the scarf around your head w/ the ends in the front, making sure the wrong side of the scarf (where you can see the folds) is against your head
- Tie it in a loose knot at the front
- Tuck the ends behind/underneath the scarf
- Done!
